LTG: Keng viết Linh Tộc, chỉ đơn giản vì tên thật của Keng là Linh. Ý tưởng về việc tạo dựng một thế giới thần thoại cho riêng mình đã đến với Keng cách đây 2 năm. Tuy nhiên sau khi viết được vài trang thì Keng bỏ lửng, bởi nhận ra mình hổng quá nhiều kiến thức về triết học, thiên văn, vật lý, lịch sử và cả toán học của nền văn minh nhân loại.
Thời gian 2 năm qua Keng vẫn luôn ấp ủ dự án này, thậm chí còn mơ ước nó sẽ là một series dài hơi kiểu Harry Potter, mặc dù việc “dám so sánh” này có thể khiến Keng bị fan của J. K. Rowling ném đá tơi bời. Nhưng ai chẳng có mơ ước, và khi đã mơ thì cũng nên hình dung ra một cái gì đó lớn lao chứ nhỉ? Vì thế Keng tiếp tục bay với giấc mộng cao xa của mình và đã dành khá nhiều thời gian nhồi nhét vào đầu những vấn đề khoa học cần thiết để làm nền tảng cho một tác phẩm mang hơi hướng kỳ ảo trộn lẫn với thực tế của đời sống hiện đại.
Keng không đam mê khoa học từ bé, nên chuyện ăn xổi tri thức chắc chắn sẽ tạo ra rất nhiều lỗ hổng bên trong. Vì vậy rất mong bạn đọc nào là chuyên gia có vô tình lướt mắt qua “Linh tộc” của Keng, mà thấy sạn quá thì xin vui lòng chỉ cho Keng biết. Keng sẵn sàng nghe lời giáo huấn của các bạn và hứa sẽ chăm chỉ nhặt sạn tác phẩm của mình như con gà bới rác tìm mồi từ sáng tới tối, đêm quáng quá mới chịu đi ngủ. Hihi…
P/S: Cách đây nửa năm, khi đang viết dở Linh tộc, Keng có nhờ giáo sư Gúp gồ tìm giùm xem liệu có thể độc quyền tên này không? Nhưng rất tiếc, có một vài kết quả thông báo bằng tiếng Việt hẳn hoi: “TGHM ra mắt Linh Tộc năm 2012”. Haizzza… Keng đã tính đổi tên, nhưng xoay đi xoay lại vẫn không tìm được tên nào có ý nghĩa hơn, vậy là cuối cùng vẫn quyết định chọn tên “Linh Tộc”. Và chắc chắn nó chẳng liên quan gì đến chủng tộc mới trong cái game TGHM đó cả. Vì Keng chưa từng chơi, cũng không định sẽ chơi thử game ấy.
Nói chung Linh Tộc chỉ là một mắt xích đầu tiên trong sự tưởng tượng dài hơi của Keng về loạt truyện phiêu lưu kỳ ảo này của mình.

Khởi nguyên
Trong lòng đất sâu, sâu hơn cả những tầng thạch địa khổng lồ mà người trên mặt đất chưa thể đào xuyên qua, có một tộc người kỳ dị sinh sống vẫn truyền âm câu chuyện: “Mặt trăng vốn là một quả đồi của Trái đất”.
Mọi cuộc giao tiếp giữa những thành viên của tộc người ấy đều lưu giữ ý niệm về vệ tinh tự nhiên duy nhất của địa cầu – thứ họ chưa từng nhìn thấy, chưa từng chạm vào, nhưng lại hình dung được trạng thái tròn – méo – lơ lửng của vật thể đó ngoài không gian. Song tuyệt nhiên, chưa từng có ai nhớ nổi nơi mà mặt trăng đã phân tách và bay vút lên không trung, rồi nhập vào một quỹ đạo vô hình, giữ kẽ với hành tinh chủ. Bởi lớp vỏ địa cầu, nhờ những chuyển di kiến tạo, luôn biết cách làm lành lại vết sẹo mất mát thủa nào.

Khối cầu thứ 1: Người gác mộ trên Mặt Trăng
Đó là một người đàn bà đẹp chỉ có duy nhất chú thỏ xám bầu bạn. Vài truyền thuyết của người mặt đất gọi tên nàng là Hằng Nga(1), cùng nguồn gốc trộm thuốc trường sinh của chồng mà chấp nhận sống đơn độc ở nơi khô cằn, ngày đêm kéo dài đằng đẵng. Nơi khác lại tôn thờ nàng là nữ thần săn bắn trinh nguyên với tên gọi Artemis(2) hoặc Diana, rồi vẽ vời truyền tụng rất nhiều huyền thoại trong đầu óc mơ mộng của những cuộc sống ngắn ngủi nơi hành tinh xanh.
Dẫu sao đó cũng chỉ là truyền khẩu của một tộc người khác, còn tên nàng là gì thì thời gian đã xóa trắng từ rất lâu rồi. Ngoài chú thỏ trường sinh không biết nói, trên Mặt Trăng chẳng còn ai khác sống cùng để nàng cần phải có một cái tên định danh, phân biệt với những cá thể giống mình.
Song ký ức bất tử của nàng vẫn lưu lại nguyên trạng thời điểm trưởng lĩnh Kai Giới triệu hồi nàng đến để giao một nhiệm vụ liên quan đến đấu tranh sinh tồn của những tộc người khác.
Trên tầng mây bạc, tất cả thành viên của Kai Giới tụ họp thành một vòng tròn rộng lớn. Nàng trở thành tâm điểm, giữa bầu không khí nghiêm trang, Kai nhân có năng lực cao nhất bước đến trước mặt nàng, cất giọng trầm vang:
- Na Lyn, ta với tư cách người lãnh đạo tối cao của Kai giới, giao cho người nhiệm vụ canh giữ Mặt Trăng, không để bất kỳ hậu duệ nào của Linh Tộc được xâm phạm từ bây giờ cho đến mãi mãi về sau.
- Ta, Na Lyn xin nhận sự giao phó của người và nguyện vĩnh viễn trung thành với nhiệm vụ. – Nàng đặt tay lên ngực tuyên thệ, ngẩng cao đầu, ngước mắt lên cao chờ đợi.
Một khối cầu ánh sáng màu lam bắt đầu xuất hiện, hút luồng khí từ những cánh tay đang giơ cao trong vòng tròn Kai nhân và lớn dần. Đến khi quả lam cầu đủ bao bọc trọn vẹn Na Lyn vào trong, thì nàng nhắm mắt và thoáng trong cảm giác đã thấy chân mình đang được đặt trên một bề mặt hữu hình rắn rỏi. Từ đó Mặt Trăng trở thành ngôi nhà vĩnh cửu của nàng.
Thực tế, không chỉ có một mình nàng lưu trú tại Mặt Trăng. Ẩn sâu dưới lớp địa chất dày cứng là chín tiên thần của Linh Tộc cổ xưa bị pháp năng của Kai Giới phù phép hoá thành đá, hòng chôn vùi một bí mật để hậu duệ Linh Tộc không còn bất cứ ai có thể nắm giữ.
Na Lyn cơ bản giống như một quân nhân gác mộ được toàn bộ Kai nhân tin tưởng phái đến canh giữ giấc ngủ ngàn thu của những kẻ tội đồ. Hàng tỷ năm đã trôi qua, Na Lyn vẫn trung thành với nhiệm vụ của mình: Ngăn không cho bất kỳ ai mang dòng máu của Linh Tộc chạm đến tám điểm khởi động mồ huyệt đánh thức và giải phóng các tiên thần.
Một nhiệm vụ buồn tẻ vì quá đơn giản, bởi không Linh nhân tầm thường nào đủ khả năng vượt qua được khoảng trống rộng hoác ngăn giữa Trái Đất và Mặt Trăng. Ngay từ khi nhận lệnh, Na Lyn đã hiểu rõ bản chất công việc, song cuộc đời dài đằng đẵng của những phụ nữ chốn Kai giới có gì vui nếu thiếu một nhiệm vụ, để tự dỗ lòng nó tựa hồ chiếc khăn ướt mềm, xoa dịu cảm nhận về thời gian trong vũ trụ thênh thang. Ẩn sâu trong trái tim ngàn năm, Na Lyn đã có lần thầm cầu vọng mình được sống rồi chết, ngắn ngủi như những sinh mệnh nhỏ bé nơi Mặt Đất mờ xa kia.
Sự bất tử là một nỗi buồn vĩ đại và mênh mông nhất thiên hà.

(1) Hằng Nga: là một nhân vật thần thoại trong truyền thuyết của người Trung Quốc và một số nền văn minh chịu ảnh hưởng của nền văn minh Trung Hoa, nữ thần của mặt trăng.
(2) Artemis: là một trong mười hai vị thần trên đỉnh Olympus theo thần thoại Hy Lạp. Artemis là con của vị thần tối cao Zeus và nữ thần Leto thuộc dòng dõi Titan, là người em sinh đôi với thần Apollo. Nữ thần Artemis có biểu tượng là vầng trăng khuyết và cây nguyệt quế, xuất hiện dưới hình ảnh một trinh nữ xinh đẹp mặc áo đi săn, mang cung bạc và đeo ống tên vàng. Nàng có một tấm thân thuần khiết, trong trắng vì nàng không bao giờ yêu… sự lạnh lùng của nàng lại là mối nguy hiểm. Trong thần thoại La mã, Artemis được đồng nhất với nữ thần Diana.
