(SK&ĐS) – Đã qua rồi, cái thời bút danh được đặt giản dị, ngoan hiền. Giờ, nhiều người sáng tác (văn chương) trẻ đã dùng những bút danh gây sốc, dở tây dở ta. Chúng ta có quyền tự hào về quê hương, về chữ viết, dân tộc vậy tại sao chúng ta lại phải dùng những bút danh ngoại lai?
1. Thực tế, một số người đã may mắn được cha mẹ đặt cho những cái tên đẹp, kêu như chuông. Anh ta cứ thế mà viết, mà tự hào với bút danh của mình để đặt chân đến địa hạt văn chương. Tên của anh ta lạ, dễ nhớ, dễ được chú ý. Đối với anh ta nó trở thành thứ tài sản tinh thần vô giá. Khi xuất hiện trước công chúng, nó được xướng lên như một danh hiệu cao quý. Nhưng không ít người lại được cha mẹ đặt cho cái tên rất bình thường, khi xướng lên nó chìm nghỉm trước vô vàn những cái tên khác. Có người đã xấu hổ, vì tên mình không đẹp, huống chi đem nó đi… làm nghệ thuật.
Nhiều người viết văn, làm thơ coi bút danh, thậm chí nghĩ bút danh quyết định đến sự thành bại trong sự nghiệp văn chương. Và thực tế giới trẻ sáng tác văn học ngày nay, đã xuất hiện các tác giả Gào, Keng, Thủy Anna, Hà Kin…. Vừa qua, Gào, Keng, Hà Kin đã gây “sốc” trên văn đàn bằng những tác phẩm được “lôi” từ trên mạng xuống. Ban đầu, phải kể đến Gào với tác phẩm “Cho em gần anh thêm chút nữa”. Gào thực chất là một cô gái có tên Vũ Phương Thanh – một blogger trên thế giới mạng. Thanh lấy bút danh là Gào, xướng lên như tiếng gào thét, đau đớn của một nữ nhi muốn phá vỡ mọi rào cản. Cái tên như muốn bung ra, phá bĩnh tất cả. Xuất hiện với bút danh này bằng một cuốn sách, ngay lập tức đã có không ít báo “xông” vào ca ngợi Gào, như một hiện tượng.

Keng, tác giả của cuốn “Dị bản”, “Hồng gai”, “Đôi mắt không còn ướt nước” tên thật là Đỗ Thị Thùy Linh. Keng sinh năm 1983, hiện đang làm nghề copywriter tại Cty Quảng cáo New D&N, TP.HCM. Cô từng tâm sự trên báo chí, thời đi học bạn bè hay gọi cô với cái tên: Cá sấu, Gà gô, Leng keng… Cô thích cái tên Leng keng nên viết truyện lấy bút danh là Keng. Một thời gian “Dị bản” của Keng là một trong số những cuốn bán chạy nhất. Bìa cuốn sách được trình bày hàng chữ gây tò mò “Chỉ đọc khi tuổi đã 18″, cộng thêm cái tên tác giả Keng dở tây dở ta, khiến không ít người tò mò mua về, đọc một lần rồi có thể sẽ chẳng bao giờ đụng đến nữa. Thế mà chủ nhân của cuốn sách lại được giới truyền thông nhắc đến với vô số bài phỏng vấn.
Một thời gian dài, báo chí chú ý tới tác phẩm “Chuyện tình New York” của Hà Kin, tên thật là Vũ Thu Hà. Mặc dù Hà Kin đã thanh minh ngay đầu cuốn sách: “Tác phẩm của tôi chỉ là một dạng tự truyện, không phải là một tác phẩm văn học, trong đó chỉ có những câu chuyện và bài học cuộc sống thực tế tôi cóp nhặt và muốn chia sẻ”, thế nhưng một số nhà truyền thông đã dễ dãi “tặng” cho cô những dòng chữ, rằng sẽ là một nhà văn đầy triển vọng.
Khác với những tác giả trên Thủy Anna là một bút danh mà cô gái sinh năm 1982 Nguyễn Thị Thu Thủy đã ghép cả tên thật lẫn tên mẹ đẻ của mình vào. Mẹ của Thủy tên là An, cô đặt ngược tên mẹ lại và ghép với tên thật thành “Anna” và ghép thành bút danh Thủy Anna. Cô tốt nghiệp khóa 7, khoa Viết văn (Đại học Văn hóa), đã có tác phẩm “Lạc giới” và đang chuẩn bị ra tựa sách thứ hai có tên “Thoát y dưới trăng”. Tác giả Di Li – một người viết trẻ gây được uy tín trên văn đàn văn học trẻ năm qua có tên thật là Nguyễn Diệu Linh. Với tên khai sinh này, cô dùng “Diệu Linh” rồi bỏ bớt âm tiết, thành “Di Li”. Cái tên này đã “găm” vào trái tim hàng nghìn người đọc, họ nhớ đến cô như một tác giả dồi dào sức sáng tạo. Tác giả Thuận, tên thật là Đoàn Ánh Thuận với các tác phẩm “Paris 11 tháng 8″, “China town”, “T mất tích”… Gần đây, trên trang báo mạng Lucbat.com còn có tác giả Thủy Hướng Dương, Đạt Ma nghe rất lạ, rất dễ nhớ tuy sáng tác không nhiều.
2. Bút danh quan trọng thật, nhưng cũng không thể đua đòi, gây sốc bằng một bút danh lạ lẫm mà nghĩ rằng văn chương của mình sẽ đi được xa. Để đi được xa, cần cái tài, sự may mắn, tinh thần cần mẫn dám dấn thân chứ không phải là một sự thoát xác “tây hóa”, “tầu hóa” bằng bút danh lạ. Địa hạt văn chương không giống như làng ca sĩ giải trí. Tạo ấn tượng cũng cần thiết nhưng đừng thái quá. Rất nhiều nhà văn của các thế hệ trước, giữ nguyên tên cha mẹ đặt cho, nhưng vẫn là những tên tuổi lớn trong nền văn học nước nhà. Lại có những bút danh được dùng với chủ đích của người viết, mà đầy tính văn hóa như nhà thơ Tản Đà. Tên thật của ông là Nguyễn Khắc Hiếu, được sinh ra ở vùng núi Tản, sông Đà nên lấy bút danh bằng hai từ ghép để thể hiện tình yêu đối với quê hương. Nhà văn Nam Cao cũng ở trường hợp tương tự. Tên thật của ông là Trần Hữu Tri cũng vậy. Bút danh Nam Cao sống mãi và tỏa sáng mãi với các tác phẩm nổi tiếng của nhà văn: “Chí Phèo”, “Lão Hạc”, ” Đôi mắt”… Theo ông Trần Hữu Đạt, em trai nhà văn cho biết, anh mình lấy bút danh là Nam Cao là do nhà văn ghép chữ đầu tên huyện (Nam Sang) với chữ đầu tên tổng (Cao Đà) để nhớ ơn mảnh đất nơi ông đã sinh thành. Các nhà văn Vũ Quần Phương, Tô Hoài, Hồ Kiên Giang… cũng ở những trường hợp gần tương tự như vậy.

Nhà văn Sương Nguyệt Minh, mà nhiều người nhầm tưởng là một người phụ nữ tên thật là Nguyễn Ngọc Sơn. Chuyện bút danh của ông đã trở thành giai thoại ông vẫn kể cho bạn bè nghe. Tác giả Nguyễn Hoàng Đức, một người bạn của Sương Nguyệt Minh khi viết về ông cũng đã nhắc đến chuyện này như sau: Vì thấy trong làng văn có đến gần hai chục người trùng tên, nào là: Nguyễn Hoàng Sơn, Nguyễn Thái Sơn, Nguyễn Hữu Sơn, Hoàng Ngọc Sơn, Cao Xuân Sơn, Cao Duy Sơn… anh không muốn mình lẫn vào các vị ấy, nên lấy bút danh là Sơn – Nguyệt – Minh. “Nguyệt” là tên vợ, “Minh” là tên con trai. Nhưng chẳng hiểu tại sao gửi tác phẩm tới toà soạn, mấy vị biên tập hay mấy cô đánh máy cứ chữa (hoặc đánh máy sai) chữ “Sơn” thành chữ “Sương”. Có thể họ ám ảnh bởi cái tên của bà Sương Nguyệt Anh? Tác phẩm gửi đi, báo in ra, anh cứ ngỡ ngàng như không phải của mình. Rắc rối đến mức: Tạp chí Văn Nghệ Quân Đội số tháng 8/1992, họa sỹ trình bày bìa ghi tên Sơn Nguyệt Minh, nhưng trong ruột in truyện ngắn “Nỗi đau dòng họ” của anh lại ghi tên tác giả là Sương Nguyệt Minh. Mệt quá! Phiền toái quá! Thế là anh đành dùng quách bút danh Sương Nguyệt Minh cho tiện.
3. Chuyện nghệ danh nhà văn có nhiều điều thú vị và không ít điều đáng nói. Là người viết văn, ai cũng muốn tên tuổi của mình được công chúng nhớ đến. Thế nên, khi dùng bút danh, cũng phải dùng với một tâm thế văn hóa. Nói như vậy, không có gì là quá đáng. Bởi mới đây, có những người đã dùng bút danh Đào Duy Anh, Hoài Thanh, Hoàng Lộc, Hà Khánh Linh, Xuân Diệu… ký dưới tác phẩm của mình. Điều này đã khiến độc giả nhiều phen bé cái nhầm. Nếu những cái tên của các tác giả, là do cha mẹ không biết, đặc trùng với những tên tuổi lừng danh thì có thể hiểu. Nhưng người viết lại lấy đúng cái tên đó để “lưu hành” trên con đường văn chương thì không nên. Có một chuyện rất văn hóa về bút danh của hai nhà văn Bão Vũ và Vũ Bão. Nhà văn Vũ Bão tên thật là Phạm Thế Hệ. Khi tên tuổi Vũ Bão đã nổi tiếng thì có một anh kỹ sư, tên thật cũng là Vũ Bão nổi hứng viết văn. Biết trên văn đàn có bậc đàn anh sừng sững, liền đổi thành Bão Vũ. Nhà văn Vũ Bão biết chuyện, rất cảm kích liền kết thân. Chuyện ứng xử của văn nhân đáng để những người viết mới vào nghề phải học tập.
