Các doanh nghiệp (DN) dệt may lớn của VN tỏ ra mờ nhạt khi không giới thiệu được sản phẩm mang phong cách riêng.
Hoạt động của ngành thời trang VN bao năm qua vẫn loay hoay với những nghịch lý không lối ra.
Từ đào tạo và nhu cầu…
Ông Lê Quốc Ân – Chủ tịch Hiệp Hội dệt may VN cho rằng, muốn hoàn chỉnh ngành thời trang VN, phải giải quyết cho được chuỗi liên kết của công nghiệp thời trang với năm yếu tố: thương hiệu – nguyên vật liệu – thiết kế – sản xuất – phân phối. Nhưng thực tế cho thấy, đến nay còn rất ít DN chú trọng phát triển đồng đều năm yếu tố nói trên. Các đơn vị dệt may thừa nhận, yếu tố sản xuất may được xem là thực hiện tốt nhất, do liên quan đến đầu tư dựa theo công nghệ hiện đại trong việc sản xuất xuất khẩu, nhưng với khiếm khuyết ở khâu dệt – nhuộm – hoàn tất, hơn 70% nhà máy dệt của VN hiện vẫn đang ở thời kỳ cần thay đổi. Để làm được điều này, phải có từ 5 đến 7 năm đầu tư công nghệ mới, ông Nguyễn Đức Hùng – Giám đốc Viện mẫu thời trang Fadin cho biết, lĩnh vực hóa nhuộm khá quan trọng trong ngành công nghiệp thời trang, bởi quyết định màu sắc, chất liệu vải khi sản xuất, nhưng các DN muốn đột phá thì phải thuê chuyên gia nước ngoài với chi phí rất cao. Nghịch lý ở chỗ trong nước có trường đào tạo nhưng lại chẳng… ai theo học.
Một số nơi đào tạo nhân lực ngành thời trang như Đại học Bách khoa, Sư phạm kỹ thuật… cho biết, do ngành dệt may VN hoạt động mạnh ở khâu gia công – chỉ thực hiện theo đúng mẫu mã cho khách hàng nên không chú trọng đến tính sáng tạo, vì thế, các xí nghiệp cần người có kinh nghiệm hơn khả năng sáng tạo. Cuối cùng, sinh viên học xong lại không có đầu ra.
Một vấn đề khác nằm trong nỗ lực xây dựng mạng lưới phân phối kinh doanh của các DN. Đơn cử, hệ thống Vinatex Mart của Tập đoàn Dệt May VN có thể xem là thành công khi phát triển được 52 cửa hàng, siêu thị và trung tâm thương mại tại 22 tỉnh thành. Hệ thống này chuyên doanh 100% hàng dệt may sản xuất trong nước, mỗi năm tiêu thụ 3,2 vạn mã hàng và hơn 11 triệu sản phẩm (SP), và hướng đến đạt 80 điểm bán hàng vào năm 2010. Tuy nhiên, sự phát triển về chất chưa tương ứng với lượng khi không có đội ngũ thiết kế chuyên nghiệp. Không ít DN “đỏ con mắt” để tìm dàn thiết kế vừa có ý tưởng sáng tạo, vừa đáp ứng yêu cầu về sản xuất công nghiệp. Trong khi đào tạo thiết kế thời trang của ta hiện nay có hai hệ thống dẫn đến hai bất cập: hoặc đào tạo ý tưởng là chính nên thiếu hụt về kiến thức kỹ thuật. Còn đào tạo về kỹ thuật thì thiếu ý tưởng thiết kế. Mấu chốt là dù đào tạo “kiểu nào” thì trang thiết bị cho phần thực hành cũng quá lỗi thời. Những kiểu dáng cho áo sơ mi quần tây với giáo án bao nhiêu năm vẫn không thay đổi. Bài giảng “lý thuyết át thực hành” nên sinh viên không có cơ hội vận dụng kiến thức đã học.
Đến phong cách thiết kế và thị trường
Ở các nước, nhà thiết kế (NTK) phải thiết kế ứng dụng, để SP được khách hàng ưa thích, sau đó mới nghĩ đến chuyện phát triển SP cao cấp có phong cách riêng. Ở VN thì ngược lại, NTK nào cũng gắng “bay bổng” để tạo dấu ấn riêng cho mình rồi mới gia nhập thị trường. Quá trình quay trở lại này, có NTK hòa nhập nhanh chóng bởi áp lực đã trải qua, nhưng không ít NTK không theo kịp với những kỹ thuật thiết kế công nghiệp hiện đại. Hiện nay, khâu đi thực tế sau hai năm đào tạo ở trường hầu như bị các NTK bỏ qua. Một tâm lý chung của NTK tương lai là tranh thủ kiếm tiền từ những thiết kế của riêng mình hơn là vào học hỏi ở các xí nghiệp. NTK Quang Huy nhận định, chính cơn lốc thị trường đã cuốn đi những điều cơ bản trong xây dựng công nghệ thời trang VN, vì thế mạnh ai nấy làm.
Nhiều NTK mãi loay hoay: theo thị trường hay theo phong cách riêng? Và giữa DN và NTK luôn đối đầu nhau theo kiểu “thị trường hay phong cách”. Tại buổi tọa đàm “Nghề nghiệp và kinh doanh” do tạp chí Mốt VN vừa tổ chức, NTK Minh Nhật thú nhận rằng, NTK có tài, nhưng lại chật vật với chính cá tính của mình. Có khi, NTK đưa ra SP thì quá mới, thị trường lại không chấp nhận. Cách làm ở các nước để tồn tại và phát triển các thương hiệu thời trang, đều có NTK dẫn đầu, thậm chí đa phần là chủ các thương hiệu, còn ở VN, NTK chưa đủ tầm để phát triển theo đúng quy luật.
Một thực trạng nữa, nhiều NTK thành công từ các cuộc thi chưa có khả năng tròn vai ở “hậu” giải thưởng. NTK Trương Thanh Long nói, với giải thưởng đầu đời, tưởng rằng mình… giỏi, cho phép mình thỏa sức sáng tạo. Nhưng khi muốn tồn tại, chuyển qua kinh doanh thì mới phát hiện chưa có trải nghiệm thực tế. Nhiều DN đã thất bại khi thuê NTK từng đoạt giải quốc tế về làm việc, bởi bản thân những NTK dù có ý tưởng sáng tạo, nhưng không am hiểu gì về thị trường, về kinh doanh, về xu hướng tiêu dùng.

Có quá hay không khi các DN vừa đòi hỏi NTK có ý tưởng sáng tạo, vừa am hiểu thị trường, trong khi DN lại không đủ “kiên nhẫn” để chờ đợi họ đủ thời gian bổ sung những điều khiếm khuyết trên? NTK Minh Hạnh thừa nhận: Hơn 90% các công ty theo chiến lược “ăn xổi ở thì”, nghĩa là phải thu ngay lợi nhuận mà không đặt chiến lược đào tạo lâu dài. Chưa hết, khâu sản xuất của dệt may VN lâu nay đã quen thuộc với hàng sản xuất đơn giản, nên khi đưa hàng thời trang đòi hỏi nhiều chi tiết thì ngại khó. Thế là NTK chuyển từ làm cho DN sang tự mở nhãn hiệu riêng. Còn DN thời trang thì truy lùng mẫu thiết kế từ các đối tác xuất khẩu khi thực hiện gia công hoặc copy từ các thương hiệu nổi tiếng nước ngoài. Chính vì thế, ở những nhãn hiệu thời trang thông dụng xảy ra tình trạng mỗi nơi theo một gu, ni dáng khác nhau, có nơi thì theo phong cách Nhật, nơi theo Hàn Quốc, châu Âu, châu Mỹ, không có bản sắc riêng.
Một giám đốc DN thời trang lớn VN cho biết, mỗi tháng họ đều đi nước ngoài để… “mua” mẫu mới về cập nhật. Mẫu nào đang “hot” thì sản xuất ngay, không tốn thời gian duyệt ni mẫu. Đội ngũ thiết kế của DN chỉ cần căn cứ trên đó, chỉnh sửa thêm thắt một chút cho phù hợp với người VN.
Riêng về bộ ni mẫu Viện Dệt VN vừa hoàn chỉnh theo nhân trắc học dành cho độ tuổi từ 6-55 của người VN cũng có nhiều ý kiến khác nhau. NTK Quang Huy cho biết, kết quả đo chưa chuẩn, vì chưa thực hiện theo vùng miền, chưa kể kết quả thu thập dựa trên số đo của công nhân may nên không thể phổ biến cho nhiều đối tượng. Còn các công ty thời trang VN cho rằng, có số đo chuẩn là một lợi thế, nhưng vấn đề các NTK VN có đủ năng lực và trình độ để sản xuất ra bộ size mẫu chuẩn hay không khi mà trường lớp đào tạo mẫu lại không có.
Không có NTK, DN vẫn đi mua ni mẫu nước ngoài. Không có công nghiệp thời trang, NTK vẫn sống theo “bản năng” làm nghề của mình và bằng lòng với thương hiệu nho nhỏ của chính mình. Ngành thời trang VN đang trong tình trạng không có đầu tàu, dẫn đến không phát huy được sức mạnh tổng hợp.
