Bao giờ cũng vậy, lúc tôi online thì cậu lại offline, hoặc lúc cậu online thì tôi lại xuống mạng. Không bao giờ chạm mặt, có khi nói chuyện chỉ qua những mẩu tin nhắn offline nửa chừng mà phải đợi đến tối mới có thể lôi ra đọc.
Đêm.
Thứ luôn khiến mắt cay và rát mỗi lần nhắc đến, thường là những giấc ngủ không sâu và chập chờn trong tiếng thở nặng trịch. Những giấc mơ không hình thù, sau đó là thức giấc, và phải cố ực một viên thuốc để trở lại giấc ngủ trong trạng thái mệt mỏi cực độ. Có khi may mắn sẽ ngủ lại được và tỉnh dậy rất tươi tắn vào hôm sau.
Thường mất ngủ.

Thường hay chụp ảnh, theo thói quen là lúc nào cũng kè kè cái máy ảnh kiểu cũ chụp bằng phim Kodak và rửa bằng giấy láng, có khi những bức ảnh chộp khiến mình ngồi nhìn cả đêm không biết chán.
Thời công nghệ, có rất nhiều cách để lưu giữ một tấm ảnh, nhưng vẫn thích kiểu cũ, lưu lại bằng những tấm ảnh thật, được rửa từ phòng tráng ảnh dưới cầu thang (thật ra là một cái toa lét đã cũ không dùng nên biến thành phòng rửa). Vì cảm nhận được mọi thứ chụp ra có hồn hơn và thực hơn ảnh trên máy tính.
Có những bức ảnh có thể đứng rất lâu trong phòng rửa để xem nó hiện dần lên, mắt rất cay và rát. Vẫn thường có cảm giác vậy lúc về đêm đứng trong phòng rửa một mình. Có hôm đọc được những tin rất vui và sẽ dễ dàng chìm vào giấc ngủ, nhưng cũng có lần không nhận được hồi âm và hàng đống câu hỏi chạy lung tung trong đầu. Buồn cười là vẫn cứ nghĩ hắn ốm hoặc đang gục gặc ở một quán nhậu nào đó. Cứ ngồi vậy mà nhìn vào khung chat rỗng, được một lúc thì màn hình sẽ lui về chế độ chạy slide show pictures, những bức ảnh lại đua nhau chạy qua màn hình máy tính, phải nhấp chuột để trở lại khung chat rỗng, với một hi vọng mặt trời sẽ online. Nhưng chả bao giờ nó thành hiện thực.
Rượu.
Thứ hơi cay khiến người ta mạnh bạo hơn, hoặc sẽ chìm nghỉm luôn trong cơn chập choạng. Thường là khi về tới nhà sẽ leo vào giường và ngủ ngay, dể sáng hôm sau nhắn offline cho mình là đêm qua xỉn. Buồn cười là vẫn có người cứ nhắc nhở về chứng xuất huyết tiêu hóa của một tên nghiện rượu.
Chat.
Rất ghét kiểu làm quen trên mạng, nhảy vào một phòng chat chung và nhấp chuột vào một cái nickname xa lạ để nói chuyện, hỏi tên tuổi và đủ thứ, để rồi quên mất tiêu sau một lần chat. Không ấn tượng gì. Chỉ đơn dản là gặp và bốc phét với nhau cho đỡ buồn, đỡ thèm nói chuyện. Nên không ưa nổi kiểu chat này.
Website.
Cũng thường hay lướt web, chả để làm gì, chỉ vào để đọc và xem thiên hạ trò chuyện, có khi từ lúc đăng kí đến khi không vào diễn đàn nữa, cũng không nói một câu gì, chỉ là một cái nickname để có thể đăng nhập và đọc hết những gì giới hạn cho member.
Làm quen.
Biết hắn thông qua những bức ảnh về mặt trời.
Lần đầu tiên đọc một topic toàn ảnh mà không có câu chữ. Đầu tiên là cảnh mặt trời mọc trên mặt biển, màu đỏ mật, bầu trời không mây, trong vắt và cao vút đến nỗi tưởng như đang hòa tan vào biển. Mặt trời như một viên ngọc đang nhô lên được một nửa phía đường chân trời, đầy sức sống.

Người đàn ông không thể nhìn rõ mặt mày cũng như quần áo, vì giống như kiểu một cái bóng hơn là một con người bằng xương bằng thịt, một cái bóng và những làn khói thuốc xung quanh mình, không hiểu sao tôi lại có cảm giác anh ta cũng đang tàn lụi hệt như mặt trời phía xa của bức ảnh. Thân hơn một chút.
Mỗi lúc chúng tôi lại chọn cách thể hiện cuộc đời và cuộc sống của mình bằng ảnh chụp, hắn gửi cho tôi bức ảnh một người đàn ông đứng đơn độc trong một khu chợ rất đông người, và đó là lần đầu tiên tôi được nhìn thấy hắn, cái hình ảnh mà có lẽ đến giờ tôi vẫn còn nhớ. Ấn tượng nhất với tôi có lẽ là đôi tay đang cầm lên máy ảnh trên cổ hắn. Một đôi bàn tay đẹp. Những ngón tay thuôn dài và chắc khỏe, móng tay cũng dài, chốt lại ở đầu bằng những phao tay màu trắng.
Tôi gửi lại cho hắn bộ ảnh của gia đình mình nhưng đã bị xé mất một góc có tôi, chỗ xé được gắn lại cách chỗ được xé rất xa, đơn lẻ một mình.
Vậy là chúng tôi bắt đầu có điểm chung…..Tôi và hắn đều sống một mình. Hay ít ra chúng tôi đã ngầm hiểu vậy.

Tôi gặp mặt trời vào đêm về sáng của ngày lễ giáng sinh.
Chính xác là bốn rưỡi sáng, lúc mặt trăng vẫn còn lơ lửng và mặt trời đang dần dần ló dạng. Điện thoại hiển thị một con số không quen, cũng không có tên trong danh bạ.

Một lần nữa gần như tôi không thốt được lời nào. Vì đó là nơi tôi chọn để chụp ảnh cho bộ ảnh mang tên Nguyệt của mình. Ở thành phố tôi đang ở chỉ có quán này là mở cửa từ bốn rưỡi sáng đến tận mười hai giờ đêm.
_ Đến đi! Mặt trời đang mọc, và trăng vẫn còn, thời khắc duy nhất để cả hai chạm được nhau.
Hắn cúp máy.
Không hiểu vì lí do gì! Tôi, một đứa chưa từng nghĩ rằng mình lại hẹn hò với một người quen biết trên mạng lại lui cui chạy xe ra đường lúc gần sáng để đi gặp hắn.
Tôi đến café Dạ Nguyệt. Quán nằm trên một đại lộ phờ phạc và ngáy ngủ sau một đêm giáng sinh, chân tôi dẫm lên rất nhiều mảnh kim tuyến lấp lánh (chắc là trò đùa của bọn trẻ tối qua đây mà!). Trước cửa quán là một bức tượng mô phỏng ông già tuyết và cái túi quà nặng trịch sau lưng. Thành phố bốn giờ ba lăm phút sáng vắng hoe người. lại là sáng hăm lăm tháng mười hai nên nhìn nó càng thảm hại, xơ xác và ảm đạm. Dường như người ta đã đi ngủ từ một giờ sáng nên giờ này không ai muốn ra đường, cố tận hưởng một ngày nghỉ thật êm ái.
Nhìn quanh.
“Không biết hắn ở chỗ nào nhỉ?”.
Tôi định gọi cho hắn, nhưng phát hiện có một người đàn ông đang ngồi ở cái bàn cạnh gờ tường của góc quán, hai chân duỗi thẳng, bắt chéo lên nhau và gác lên một cái ghế đối diện, phía trái mặt trời đang mọc, là hắn.
Hắn đưa tay nhìn đồng hồ.
_ Hơi muộn một chút, nhưng vẫn còn kịp.
Mùi rượu toát ra từ giọng nói hắn, xộc thẳng vào mũi tôi.
_ Kịp gì?
Hắn trỏ tay về phìa mặt trăng đang dần teo đét lại.
_ Trước khi Mặt Trăng bị đốt cháy?
Tôi ngồi xuống cạnh hắn. Chúng tôi ngồi cạnh nhau và hướng về đường đại lộ với những chùm đèn chớp tắt đang trở nên buồn cười dưới ánh sáng lấm lem. Là phố giáng sinh, nên mọi chỗ đều có màu đỏ và đèn nê-ông.
Tiệm thức ăn nhanh mở của suốt đêm phía bên kia đường có một cây thông đội một ngôi sao trên đầu và một anh thợ làm bánh ngáp dài ngáy ngủ.
Tôi gọi một ly balley cho mình. Và cũng bắt đầu châm thuốc hút. Mùi khói thuốc cháy khét chui vào họng, chạy ra ở mũi, lâng lâng nhẹ.
Hắn cầm tay tôi.
Nửa muốn giật lại, nửa lại muốn thắt chặt tay hắn như bức ảnh hắn đã từng gửi cho mình, lúc đó tôi mới biết mình rất thèm khát một bàn tay, nhất là với bàn tay rất đẹp này, tôi khó lòng mà giật ra được. Nên cứ để yên như vậy, chiếc loa cũ từ trong góc quán phát ra thứ âm thanh nhè nhẹ:

Nhẹ nhàng mà như xóa tan hết những nỗi đơn độc mà tôi đã từng trải qua suốt mấy năm qua, từ khi sống đơn độc giữa một thành phố hiện đại.
Mọi câu nói lúc này sẽ có cảm giác trở nên dư thừa và dự cảm sẽ trở thành những câu nói ngu ngốc.
_ Đúng như kiểu người mình đang tìm kiếm! Trăng à! Rất thích bộ ảnh Nguyệt, và dĩ nhiên rất dễ dàng tìm được chỗ này. Mà cũng không quên được số điện thoại ấy đã từng cho, nhưng chưa một lần gọi.
Tôi lại nghe tim mình vừa thót lên một lần nữa.
_ Làm sao ông biết được bộ ảnh Nguyệt được chụp ở đây?
_ Hắn áp tay tôi vào ngực hắn!
Tôi giật tay mình lại một cách cương quyết và thô bạo!
Đường phố vẫn im lìm, có vài người tập thể dục buổi sáng chạy qua quay đầu lại nhìn tôi và hắn. Tôi bắt đầu ngượng không biết để đâu cho hết.
Hắn chỉ tay vào ngực:
_ Chỗ này chỉ đường đến!
_ Vậy sao lại muốn gặp nhau ở đây?
_ Vì rất muốn có ai đó để ôm chặt vào lòng trong những ngày se se lạnh như vầy.
Tôi bắt đầu co người lại sát bức tường, trong tư thế phòng thủ.
_ Nếu tui không phải như người ông nghĩ thì sao?
_ Ý ông nói ông không phải là người đồng tính?
_ Ừ! Giả tỉ vậy!
_ Thì tôi sẽ ra về ngay lập tức!
_ Ông nghĩ sao lại cầm tay một người mình chưa từng gặp mặt? Mà lại là một đứa con trai? Không sợ sẽ nhận được những thứ giả sử như một quả đấm sao?
Hắn nhìn thẳng vào mắt tôi.
_ Không!
Mặt trời bắt đầu lan tỏa những tia nắng phía đằng xa rọi lên bầu trời cuối năm lành lạnh.
_ Lần sau gặp nhau! Chúng ta sẽ rất khác. Rất thích cậu! Trăng à!
Hắn dúi vào tay tôi một gói quà, và bắt đầu bước đi khập khiễng về phía đầu kia của công viên. Bàn tay dúi gói quà vào ngực tôi, mãi sau này tôi vẫn nhớ rất rõ.
Cái lạnh buổi đầu ngày làm tôi càng muốn thắt thật chặt gói quà của hắn lại hơn nữa, tôi rất muốn gọi với theo, nhưng lại không thể vì cái tôi trong mình quá lớn. Tôi không muốn những thứ đến quá dễ dàng vì nếu đến quá dễ giàng thì ra đi cũng rất nhanh chóng.

Đúng một năm sau cái đêm mà tôi đã mất rất nhiều tháng sau để quên, để nguôi ngoai. Vậy mà ngay cái lúc tôi tưởng chừng như đã quên, đã phần nào nguôi đi cái cơn khát cháy lòng, hắn lại quay lại.

Hắn không trả lời, cái tôi nhận được chỉ là một hồi bíp dài và im bặt.
Đến Dạ Nguyệt.
Vẫn mùi rượu nồng, vẫn là hương Balley ngậy, béo và dễ nghiện.
_ Că năm qua đã làm gì?
_ Chả làm gì! Chỉ là tồn tại. Tồn tại đúng nghĩa.
Chúng tôi ngồi rất lâu ở đó. Hướng về phía bầu trời lúc rạng sáng trong tư thế lưng mỏi nhừ vì dựa vào tường.
Khi hơi rượu đã chui vào mạch máu và khiến nó dãn phình lên hết cỡ đến mức tôi nghe được tiếng mạch đập của động mạch thái dương mình.
_ Muốn đến nhà tôi không?
Im lặng.
_ Không hối hận chứ?
_ Không!
Tôi nhìn thẳng vào mắt hắn.
_ Vậy thì đi thôi!
Đón cơn ác mộng.
Tôi thường đặt cho những người mình đã từng yêu một cái tên nghe buồn cười nhưng đúng nghĩa: “nightmare”.
Cho tất cả những ai đã từng đi qua tôi và để lại những thứ phải mất rất lâu để quên, để dung hòa cảm xúc. Và tôi có cảm giác tôi sắp phải thay đổi tên danh bạ của mặt trời thành một cái nighmare mới. 3rd nightmare.
Mặt trời bước vào thế giới của tôi như một cái bóng không hình thù, nhẹ nhàng, và ướt át.
_ Không có nước nóng để pha Café, Nước cam nhé!

Tôi trở lại với ly nước cam mát lạnh trên tay.
Phát hiện ra hắn đang nằm trong tư thế nửa nằm nửa ngồi, và đang ngủ.
Tôi nhẹ nhàng đặt ly nước cam lên bàn, chả biết làm gì. Một sự thăm viếng không chuẩn bị, lại rất buồn cười là mình đã không còn phòng thủ gì, hoặc giả chăng đã bắt đầu có những chuyển biến nhẹ nhàng với kẻ xâm nhập.
Tôi cứ ngồi vậy và đọc báo.
Bất chợt.
Một bàn tay chộp lấy cổ tôi.

_ Không gì là quá nhanh với những gì tôi và ông đã có.
Hôm đó, chúng tôi ngủ với nhau, một bước bộc phá so với những gì mà tôi đã cố tạo dựng nên như một bức tường phòng thủ, hắn đã phá vỡ tất cả. Và tôi chỉ có thể đứng nhìn.
Chúng tôi nằm cạnh nhau, khăn khít và quấn chặt như đôi bàn tay mà hắn đã gửi dạo nọ.
Ngủ quên trong một thứ cảm xúc bất chợt nhận được, và tạm hài lòng với nó.
Giật mình.
Đã là đêm, tôi quơ tay sang phía hắn….. Trống không.
Cửa ban công mở.
Tôi bước ra, và hắn đang đứng ở đó hút thuốc.
Đôi bàn tay lại chìa ra trước mặt lôi sát tôi vào hắn.
Đến lúc này tôi thật sự rất muốn hỏi hắn ở đâu trong cái thành phố mênh mông này, và muốn hỏi cả tên thật, tuổi, và tất cả những thứ thuộc về hắn….Nhưng chả hiểu sao lại vẫn im lặng.
_ Nhật thực kìa!
Hắn trỏ tay lên trời.
Rất hiếm khi vào dịp này của năm lại có nhật thực.
Chúng tôi đã hôn nhau dưới nền trời đó.
_ Vậy là cuối cùng trời và trăng cũng gặp nhau, đúng không?
Chúng tôi đứng ở đó, dưới nền trời nhật thực rất lâu.
Năm mới đang tới rất gần, bên cạnh năm cũ đang hấp hối hoi hót thở.
Máy ảnh cài chế độ tự động, chụp lại phía sau tôi và hắn, hướng lên phía bầu trời.
Không còn lặng lẽ.

Sáng ngày hăm sáu.
Hắn đã đi mất.
Chẳng để lại gì, một mảnh giấy cũng không.
Và tôi hiểu ra mình sẽ phải cố gắng để tập quen dần lại với cảm giác đã hứng chịu bấy lâu.
Bỏ lại ly café vừa pha vẫn còn nghi ngút khói trên bàn….. Nóng ấm.

Mùng một tết.
Dẫu sao tôi vẫn thích tết cổ truyền, vì được nghỉ dài ngày và tha hồ chụp, rửa ảnh. Không phải tất bật đến chỗ làm lúc sáng sớm, và trở về nhà mệt mỏi nhưng khó ngủ lúc về đêm.
Tôi nhận được thư điện tử mời tham dự triễn lãm ảnh xuân của một người rất lạ.
Buổi triển lãm có tên là Nguyệt Thực.
Vậy là tôi đã biết người gửi cho mình.

Không biết là do số phận hay do những gì chúng tôi đã sắp đặt trước. Chẳng thể nào để chúng tôi gặp nhau lâu hơn, mà chỉ tính bằng khoảng khắc từng giờ, từng giây và từng phút.
Tôi đến buổi triễn lãm.
Và dĩ nhiên ở đó tôi bắt gặp bức ảnh cả hai chúng tôi đứng dưới bầu trời nguyệt thực. Được rửa khổ 100 x 200 cm, Treo ở vị trí trung tâm của buổi triễn lãm.
Tôi cố gắng tìm hình bóng hắn trong đám đông, nhưng dường như mọi cố gắng đều trở nên vô nghĩa…Hắn dường như chưa hề tồn tại, không hề có dấu tích.
Hẫng.
Một cảm giác hụt hơi rất lâu, kéo dài theo cả buổi triễn lãm hôm ấy.

Vẫn là giọng nói trầm, phát ra từ người tôi vẫn hay nghĩ đến.
Tôi cố chạy thật nhanh ra khỏi khu triễn lãm, và hướng về phía café Dạ Nguyệt.
Tay siết chặt chiếc móc khóa hình trăng lưỡi liềm và mặt trời lồng vào nhau. Với hi vọng hôm nay sẽ không phải là nguyệt thực. Rất muốn khoe với hắn về bộ ảnh mới của mình mà tôi vừa đặt tên một giây trước đây: “Hand in hand”.
Nước mắt bắt đầu lăn trên gò má tôi, và tôi hiểu mình rất yêu hắn. Tôi phát hiện ra tôi rất sợ cái cảm giác phải đối chọi với mọi thứ một mình như trước đây.
Mặt trời của những đêm trăng bốc cháy về sáng.
Tôi cứ chạy, và chạy, không còn nghĩ đến những gì xung quanh nữa. miệng cứ thì thầm một câu.
