Phỏng vấn đăng trên báo Pháp Luật & Xã Hội thứ tư ngày 15/6/2011
(PL&XH) – Keng sinh năm 1983, hiện đang sống tại Sài Gòn. Chị là cây viết trẻ gây ấn tượng không nhỏ với những tác phẩm cho lần đầu tiên xuất hiện: “Dị bản”, “Hồng gai” và sắp sửa ra mắt tiểu thuyết: “Muốn chết”…
PV báo Pháp luật & Xã hội có cuộc trò chuyện với nhà văn trẻ xinh đẹp về văn chương và những điều “không giống ai” ở chị.
Keng – một cái tên nghe rất dễ thương, đây là nickname mà người thân gọi chị hay có một ý nghĩa nào để chị sử dụng nó thành tên tác giả?
Thực ra thì câu hỏi này tôi trả lời trên báo chí khá nhiều lần. Người thân không biết tôi có nickname Keng, đọc sách của tôi rồi nhưng đến giờ vẫn không quen coi tôi là Keng. Tên tác giả đơn giản xuất phát từ cách trêu chọc của bạn bè hồi đi học, lúc nào gọi tôi cũng gắn tính chất con người vào thành “Linh leng keng”. Có lẽ vì trong mắt bạn học tôi hơi lập dị, theo cách nghĩ hồi đó là “mát dây thần kinh”. Sau này trưởng thành, tôi làm việc trong môi trường quảng cáo sáng tạo, nên rất cổ vũ cho những ý tưởng điên rồ, vì thế đời tôi gắn chặt với tên Keng, để cho ra đời loạt “truyện của Keng”.
Lí do gì khiến mọi người coi chị như một hiện tượng trên văn đàn?
Tôi gặp may! Vì 3 năm trước việc in sách cho các tác giả mới không thoáng như hiện tại. Nhất là người mới như tôi, chưa từng có bài đăng báo bao giờ. Nhưng có nhà xuất bản chấp nhận đỡ đầu cho tác phẩm toàn những entry cóp nhặt trên blog của tôi, sau đó tập truyện lọt vào mắt xanh của nhà phát hành, họ nhận thấy sự “lạ” và đã tập trung mọi nguồn lực giới thiệu “truyện của Keng” đến với người đọc. Tôi trở thành hiện tượng vì đơn giản được hỗ trợ rất nhiều bên cạnh những giá trị mình có thể chia sẻ được cùng độc giả.
Nếu trong showbiz, có thể coi chị là một hotgirl? Sắc đẹp đối với người cầm bút có quan trọng lắm không?
Tôi ước gì mình đủ xinh đẹp và trẻ trung dù không tham gia showbiz. Nói chung đẹp một chút cũng tốt, trong vài hoàn cảnh thì nó sẽ quan trọng. Song người ta vẫn có thể nổi tiếng khi làm một nhà văn ẩn danh, ẩn mặt. Bởi cầm bút là cần đến khả năng và cảm nhận tinh sâu, chứ không phải dung mạo hoa ngọc. Với tôi một người nhan sắc bậc trung cũng có thể trở thành mỹ nhân, nếu phong cách của họ có năng lực thể hiện điều đó!
Những truyện ngắn của chị đều có những lời “cảnh báo” đại loại như: “Chỉ đọc khi tuổi đã 18″ tuổi hoặc như “Muốn chết” sắp ra mắt, chị cũng ghi rất rõ ở bìa: “Tác phẩm này gửi đến những bậc phụ huynh bất lực trong việc dạy con và chia sẻ cùng bất kỳ ai từng khóc vì cha mẹ mình”, điều gì khiến chị có những suy nghĩ như vậy khi viết?
Thuần túy cho những “cảnh báo” đó là việc tôi luôn mong muốn tác phẩm của mình đến đúng tay người đọc cần thiết. Khi viết về giới tính, tôi cần độc giả trên 18 tuổi. Khi viết về tình cảm gia đình cùng những xung đột với cha mẹ từ góc nhìn của con cái, thì tôi muốn đưa thông điệp đúng bản chất nội dung đề cập trong sách.
Nói chính xác là sự giới thiệu ngắn gọn nhằm giúp những người yêu thích văn chương khỏi “bị dụ” sau khi lướt mắt qua bìa sách, họ có thể xác định đề tài đó không hợp với gu nghiền ngẫm của mình chẳng hạn. Gọi là “sự thẳng thắn của người viết” liệu có làm bạn hoài nghi?
Nhắc đến “Dị bản” thiên hạ vẫn bị sốc vì những vấn đề tình dục được chị đề cập trực diện. Khi viết “Dị bản”, chị còn rất trẻ?
Tôi viết “Dị bản” năm 24 tuổi, nên không nghĩ mình còn trẻ. Quan trọng hơn, sự già dặn không nhất thiết song hành cùng tuổi tác. 20 tuổi ta có thể trải nghiệm hoặc mất mát nhiều như người 30, 40. Huống hồ khi bắt đầu viết, tôi đã ra trường, đi làm và có một khoảng thời gian đủ dài để lắng lại những tổn thương về tình cảm. Nhiều lúc tôi viết trong cơn mê sảng, đến khi tỉnh táo thì chẳng nhớ được nhiều. Cũng như chưa từng nghĩ văn của mình tạo được ma lực với ai, song có những lúc gặp được bạn đọc đáng quý, họ có thể thuộc những đoạn mô tả, hoặc diễn cảm lại từng câu thơ và khẳng định nằm trong “truyện của Keng” cuốn nào, trang bao nhiêu, khiến tôi chỉ còn biết kinh ngạc và hạnh phúc hỏi lại: “Ủa, là Keng viết đó sao?”.
Chị có chạnh lòng không khi độc giả đọc chị và nhận xét thế này: “Keng vẽ ra một bức tranh xám xịt về tình yêu với những toan tính, vụ lợi, giả tạo, đổi chác và đầy thù hận… tất cả những bi kịch cảm xúc đến với nhân vật đều bắt đầu từ lối sống buông thả, nổi loạn đáng sợ của họ”?
À! Đây là nhận xét về cuốn “Hồng gai” trên báo Người Lao Động của tác giả Tiểu Quyên. Tập truyện này được tôi viết trước cả “Dị bản”, nhưng do nội dung nó đúng như cảm nhận trên, nên nhà xuất bản đỡ đầu cho tôi khi đó ngại in, sợ vấp phải phản đối của dư luận. Thực tế đó là cuốn sách nổi loạn và thiếu sự nhân văn lãng mạn, bởi tôi đã cố gắng ghi lại chính xác những gì đang diễn ra trong cuộc sống một cách cô đọng nhất. Tôi cũng đã gọi tên “Hồng gai” là “về nhan sắc danh giá phù phiếm”, mà đã là thứ phù phiếm thì ngoài người sở hữu, thụ hưởng ra, khó tìm được ai thương cảm và đau giùm mình. Gặp được người khơi đúng bản chất trong câu chuyện mình viết thì sao phải cảm thấy chạnh lòng?
Chị gửi gắm điều gì tới độc giả khi họ muốn thấy một Keng “lập dị” và có sức biến hoá trong những tác phẩm sau này?
Thời gian tới tôi sẽ xuất bản khá nhiều, thử nghiệm ở các thể loại khác nhau, mục tiêu tham lam là một năm ba cuốn. Hy vọng không khiến độc giả bội thực, và nhất là vẫn giữ được sự yêu mến của những người từng thích thú với tác phẩm cũ của tôi. Nhưng chắc chắn Keng thì vẫn là Keng thôi, dù tôi có muốn biến hóa thế nào thì những người hiểu tôi vẫn nhận ra chân tướng của Keng. Cuối cùng, tôi thực sự biết ơn độc giả – những người đã ủng hộ và có thể chia sẻ cùng tôi như tri kỷ trong kiếp sống này.
